1. Hyatt Regency Dehradun — Rajpur Road

The default first call for our flagship weddings. Two large halls (Regency Ballroom + Aspen Ballroom) that connect for a banquet-and-mandap split, and outdoor lawns big enough for haldi or sangeet. Indicative pricing for a full wedding: ₹4,000–6,500 per plate (food + venue + standard décor) with a 250-pax minimum. Best for: couples who want zero risk on F&B and a name that travels well in invitations.

Watch out for: peak-season minimums climb fast — confirm the contract guest count carefully.

2. Hyatt Centric Rajpur Road

Younger sister property to Regency, more contemporary palette. The terrace works beautifully for sundowners, and the indoor banquet handles ~300 comfortably. Better than Regency for couples who want a "design-forward" look without giving up Hyatt-grade F&B.

Indicative pricing: ₹3,500–5,500 per plate.

3. Madhuban Hotel

Old-money Dehradun. The Crystal Hall hosts our most elegant black-tie weddings — high ceilings, stunning chandeliers, and a banquet team that's done this for 20 years. Great choice for traditional families. We hosted the Doon Foundation Charity Gala here in March 2025.

Indicative pricing: ₹3,200–5,000 per plate.

For 200–350 guests: intimate-but-luxe

4. Fairfield by Marriott Dehradun

Corporate-grade reliability with a wedding-friendly attitude. Single ballroom, modern AV. We use this for brides who want a tight, all-indoor day. Also our top pick for two-day events that mix a corporate touch (sangeet → wedding → brunch).

5. The Emerald Grand

Three ballrooms of varying size — the largest comfortably hosts 450 with a stage. Our go-to for sangeet nights with full choreography (we hosted the Kapoor Family Sangeet here in February 2025 — 10,000 fairy lights, fireworks finale).

For destination + boutique weddings

6. Shaheen Bagh Resort

7. Ataraxia Resort

8. Celebration Garden, Dehradun

The hidden gem for birthday celebrations and intimate functions (up to 250). We hosted Aarav's Grand 1st Birthday here in November 2024 — jungle-safari theme, balloon tunnel, custom cake station. Affordable, flexible, and gracious staff.

What we'd skip (and why)

Every planner has a quiet "no" list. Without naming names: any venue that won't let you bring outside florists or AV vendors is a red flag — it usually means inflated in-house markups and rigid timelines. Always ask "can I bring my own décor and AV teams?" before signing.

Booking timeline (this is where most couples slip)

• Peak season (Oct–Feb), 400+ guests: book the venue 9–12 months ahead.
• Peak season, 150–300 guests: 6 months ahead is realistic.
• Off-peak (Mar–Sep, excl. monsoon weeks): 3–4 months works for most venues.

Saturdays in November are usually gone by April. If your date is fixed, lock the venue first, vendors second.
